Super Animal Royale Founder's Edition

Super Animal Royale Founder's Edition. GAME DESCRIPTION. Super Animal Royale is an intense, strategic and ridiculous twist on the battle royale genre, with. Super Animal Royale Super Edition. Developer: Pixile, Publisher: Modus Games The Super Edition of Super Animal Royale delivers the superest experience and best value of all, providing both exclusive perks and DLC cosmetic items. Super Animal Royale costs $12.99 up front, but you don’t necessarily have to make additional purchases on top of that. A founder’s edition typically costs just under $26, which includes 10 cosmetic items, an orange username denoting your founder status, and the full game soundtrack by Jake Butineau.

One month after its Early Access debut, Super Animal Royale is rampaging across the world, capturing gamers’ hearts with charming animals and then blowing them up with machine gun fire. In just one month, there have been more than 30k Super Animal slips on banana peels, 1.5M Super Animals have met their colorful demise, and 6.5M tufts of tall grass have been chopped down by Super Animals searching for items.

The Early Access game currently has a 97% positive review score on Steam and is been played by Twitch and Youtube stars from around the world, including Lirik, Anthony Kongphan, Yogscast, Kouki, PungWollYang (풍월량) and Woowakgood (우왁굳). It has already received 6 major updates, increasing cosmetic items to over 200, upping the number of animal breeds to 65, adjusting gameplay based on community feedback, and adding full controller support.

And today, the game is receiving its biggest update yet.

Players who log on after today’s update will find themselves in the crumbling remains of the Super Animal World welcome center: the cheery gateway to the bioengineered safari park that entertained millions of happy visitors until it was shut down after what S.A.W. lawyers insist we refer to as “The Incident.” The new region of the island features restaurants such as Slow Food, a teppanyaki joint run by world-renowned (if painfully methodical) chef Slothy Aoki, and Meet & Eat, the only restaurant where you can enjoy stimulating conversation with your dinner before you eat it! Super Animal guests will not, however, be able to taste the Pie of the Tiger, due to an unfortunate and, if you’re asking me, rather suspicious kitchen fire.

Players will also now be able to play Super Animal Royale completely free, with the introduction of a brand new “Super Demo” that allows players to get a head start on progression in the game. What makes this demo a Super Demo, you ask? Aside from the fact that adding the word “Super” makes everything better, this demo allows players to play the game fully online, as much as they like, without any time limit. They can even begin unlocking cosmetic items and animal breeds in the demo, but they won’t be able to use them until they upgrade to the full version. If they do decide to upgrade, however, all progress made in the demo transfers seamlessly into the full game, using Steam Cloud. It’s a trial version that respects a player’s investment of time – risk free.* That’s pretty Super, right?

*Beyond the unavoidable risk of SAR addiction.

About Super Animal Royale
Super Animal Royale is a top-down multiplayer survival shooter for up to sixty-four endearingly deadly creatures. Engineered to charm and trained to kill, Super Animals are cute enough to make you go “Aww” and deadly enough to make you go “Ahhhh!” Select your favorite from a menu of foxes, pandas, kitty cats, and other bloodthirsty beasts. Parachute into the ruins of an ill-fated safari park and fight off a lethal barrage of bullets, explosives, and silly dancing. Enjoy carefully balanced run and gun gameplay combined with an intuitive fog of war system that restricts a player’s view to line of sight, allowing for sneaky, strategic play. Matches are a brisk six minutes, so you’ll never be out of the action for too long. Explore a beautiful 2D world, inspired by classic top-down adventure games. Cut tall grass and loot abandoned structures in search of the guns, explosives and health juice you’ll need to reach the top of the food chain.

Super Animal Royale is now in Early Access on Steam after an extensive public Beta test, priced at a murderously competitive $12.99 (USD). A Founder’s Edition with a ton of cool cosmetic enhancements and the game’s original soundtrack is also available in a Steam bundle, priced $25.17 (USD).

Super

It’s the little details that make a game, sometimes, rather than the big, boundary-pushing concepts. Take the multiplayer shooter, Super Animal Royale: it’s another gun-heavy free-for-all in the mould of PUBG, but it’s the nuances that set it apart. First, Super Animal Royale’s viewed from an old-school, top-down perspective rather than in 3D; second, its horde of up to 64 combatants aren’t buff humanoid soldiers, but cute, cartoon mammals. You’ll see foxes running around with machine guns, bears throwing hand grenades, and cats pointing rifles – it’s like a cross between a Saturday morning TV show and an issue of Guns & Ammo.

Aside from the adorable character design and animation, though, Super Animal Royale’s most eye-catching little detail is its use of line of sight. As your murderous critter runs around the forest map, its view of enemies and collectable items is frequently blocked by other objects. You can approach a tree, entirely unaware that another player’s hiding behind it; you’ll only know for sure if you’re about to be attacked when either you or your opponent breaks cover. It’s a design choice that adds a huge amount of impact to the game’s suspense, as designer Michael Silverwood explains.

Super Animal Royale Founders Edition

“It was really important that you could still have a level of stealth and surprise in close-quarters combat, so that it would feel dangerous as you’re going around,” Silverwood tells us. “Because if you could see everyone everywhere, then a lot of the fights end up happening at the edges of the screen, because you’re able to see each other all the time. They weren’t exciting fights. So we brought (line of sight) in pretty early, and it’s really important to the feel of the game.”
